The 21-mile Medicine Bow Rail Trail is close by Woods Landing. Moose, elk, mule deer, chipmunks, and squirrels are often spotted along this non-motorized trail.
The Rail Trail is a packed gravel surface that is suitable for most bikes, except those with skinny tires. The minimal grade makes the biking easy for most folks.
During the summer months you can fly fish on the river or on one of the numerous plains and mountain lakes within 10 miles of Woods Landing. Lake Hattie is a favorite fishing spot for fishing in the summer and ice-fishing in the winter.
